Hugh Jackman takes his dogs Dali and Allegra for a walk in New York … after cutting short his trip to Sydney due to the Covid-19 outbreak

He was forced to cut short his trip to Australia last month after a Covid-19 outbreak in Sydney.

But Hugh Jackman seems to be coming back to life in New York.

The X-Men star, 52, took her dogs Dali and Allegra for a walk in the Big Apple on Monday, alongside a friend.

Hugh dressed casually for his walk in an East Hampton Gym sweatshirt and shorts, which he teamed with blue sneakers.

He also hid his gaze behind dark sunglasses.

The Greatest Showman actor flew to his hometown of Sydney in June and, like all international arrivals, had to spend two weeks isolating himself in a hotel room.

But he didn’t stay in the country for long as there was an outbreak of the Delta variant of Covid shortly after being released from quarantine.

As Harbor City headed for lockdown, Hugh decided to return to the United States to reunite with his family.

Hugh has lived in New York City with his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, and their children, Oscar, 21, and Ava, 16, since 2008.

Australia currently has some of the toughest lockdown restrictions in the world.

While other countries are seeing many more daily Covid cases, they have higher vaccination rates as a safety net, which means lockdowns have eased.

However, the majority of Australians are still not vaccinated, which means they remain at higher risk of becoming seriously ill with the virus.
