New South Wales star Jarome Luai has confirmed he will feature for Samoa at the World Cup this year.
Luai joins Panthers and Blues team-mate Brian To’o in committing to Samoa, while Queensland and Raiders star Josh Papalii is expected to follow suit.
All three have previously played for Samoa but were in contention for the Kangaroos selection.

“I’m going to play for Samoa. This is who I am and this is how I was bought,” Luai told NRL.com.
“I know I live in Australia, but it’s just a way of life for us. We’re also very connected to our Polynesian side.
“That’s how we grew up in the Samoan community and the Samoan churches. It’s instilled in us. Hopefully we’re not being judged too badly for this.
Samoa will face England in the opening game of the World Cup on October 15.
